This is how I feel when I get out from something and then nobody is there to pick me up. By the way this is not directed towards any particular family members. It is simply an exaggeration of that feeling that you get "Are they ever going to come?" This one took me a while. I hope you like it.

I really like the mood in this one Philip. And even with your disclaimer, I know I've left you standing in the rain once or twice. Sorry!
Siblings: remind you of Tanasbourne mall at all? :)
Really evocative. Nicely done!
Of course, the rain is a natural consequence of living in Portland...
And natural consequences of the rain are actual seasons, lush greenery, incredible forests, snow-covered mountains, and a built-in population cap. :)
Oh yes, and SAD, mossy roofs, terrible drivers, and an excess of brew pubs/coffee houses.
Yep -- definitely the tradeoffs to be had. There's also no real concept of a drought there. Most importantly, Oregon in summer is glorious -- even to this hay-fevered system.
In comparison, we were riding almost as soon as we got back from the UK in January and have only had a weekend off for rain. (Yes, we mostly avoid riding in the rain because we can!) But I think we have at least as many coffee houses per capita. (I think we trade your brewpub advantage for wine bars.)
